This is a safe space to have open, honest conversations about death, dying, and the many feelings, fears, beliefs, questions, and experiences that surround this inevitable part of the human condition. There is no agenda or expectation to have the “right” perspective. Instead, Death Café offers an opportunity to listen, reflect, share, and explore this universal experience together in a supportive environment.
Whether you've spent a lot of time thinking about death or have simply been curious about having a more open conversation around it, you are welcome. All ages are encouraged to come and explore this topic.
Come as you are and join us for a thoughtful conversation designed to make space for curiosity, connection, and understanding.

Seed Saving, Sat. Sept 19, 3:30-5:30 p.m., with Alex O’Hanlon and the Blazing Star Seed Cooperative. Learn basic seed saving principles, hands-on tomato and pepper seed saving skills, and ways to get involved in building Omaha's seed saving community. Join us to as we chop vegetables (Alex will be bringing some crates of home-grown vegetables) while learning all about saving seeds.

Funds raised through Tee it Up FORE Omaha Parks! will open the door to outdoor learning and recreation for children across our community. Your involvement will go directly towards providing access to summer camps, golf, tennis, and swimming lessons - along with safe, engaging spaces for children to learn and grow. Last year we provided scholarships for 800 youth, and we hope to provide even more in 2026!

The inaugural Heartland Plein Air Art Festival is coming to the Omaha metro September 13–19, 2026! Presented by the Ralston HINGE Creative District in collaboration with Dundee, Benson, and Castle and Cathedral Creative Districts, the weeklong festival will bring 48 artists from across the country to paint locations throughout Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Enjoy daily paintouts, artist lectures, youth programming, live painting, and more before the festival culminates in a public exhibition and auction of original works.

One of our favorite days in Dundee is back on August 22, 2026, as we celebrate the 32nd annual Dundee Day street festival and "Dundee Night" evening of music, food, and fun, presented by the Dundee Merchants Association and Dundee Memorial Park Association. What began as a sidewalk sale in the 1950s has evolved into an official day of events since 1992, featuring a range of attractions. These include a "prettiest baby" contest, local artist appearances by the likes of cartoonist Jeffrey Koterba, and the iconic relocation of the Dundee Dell from Dodge Street to Underwood Avenue.
Today, this beloved family-friendly street festival offers a diverse range of activities for all ages, showcasing and celebrating the Dundee neighborhood.
Spend the day exploring local art and craft vendors, cheering on the Dundee Day Parade, participating in the Dundee Day 5K (whether you're running or walking), enjoying a pancake breakfast, discovering the Friends of Omaha Public Library book sale, listening to live music, watching artists compete in Dundee Draws, grabbing a bite from local food trucks, and relaxing in the beer garden. Throughout the day, you'll also have the opportunity to shop local, connect with neighbors, and experience everything that makes the Dundee community so unique.
Get creative with the Dundee Creative Arts District! Bring your children to the Dundee Creative District Creativity Zone off 50th and Underwood from 8:00am-3:00pm to make free custom Dundee buttons.
